01Multiple humps

Each step has its own peak. Valleys between peaks are intermediates. The highest Ea hump (relative to its starting valley) is the slow step.

Number of humps = number of elementary steps.

02Notebook box

Count peaks → steps. Count valleys (not ends) → intermediates.

Worked example: Two humps, first taller → step 1 is rate-determining.
