Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of VelyraSTEM, including its website, lessons, practice questions, interactive labs, progress tools, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The Service is operated by Nathan Parmentier (doing business as VelyraSTEM, “VelyraSTEM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). You are contracting with Nathan Parmentier when you use the Service, and Nathan Parmentier is the party responsible for the Service and its content.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to consent to your use of an online service, you may use the Service only with that consent.

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred, or shared to avoid plan limits.

2. The Service

VelyraSTEM provides study materials and tools for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics subjects. Features may include readings, worked examples, practice questions, explanations, simulations, study recommendations, and progress records.

Some features may be marked as previews, samples, or works in progress. We may add, revise, or remove material as courses and tools develop.

3. Educational content

The Service is a supplemental study resource. It is not a school, tutoring credential, academic advisor, laboratory safety authority, or substitute for your teacher, textbook, course requirements, or professional advice.

• Educational material may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
• Some material may be created or assisted by automated tools. Important facts, calculations, and instructions should be checked against trusted course sources.
• Simulations simplify real systems and must not be used as instructions for conducting unsafe experiments.
• Scores and recommendations within the Service are study aids, not official grades or predictions of academic performance.

We do not guarantee a particular grade, test score, admission result, certification, or other academic outcome.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal educational purposes. You may not:

• access or attempt to access another person’s account, private information, or progress data;
• bypass question allowances, access controls, security measures, or payment restrictions;
• use bots, scraping tools, or automated systems to copy substantial portions of the Service;
• upload malicious code, probe for vulnerabilities, overload the Service, or interfere with another user’s access;
• copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute the Service or its content without written permission;
• use the Service to cheat, misrepresent work as your own, or violate a school’s academic-integrity rules; or
• use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

5. Ownership and permitted use

The Service, including its original lessons, questions, explanations, software, visual design, and branding, is owned by or licensed to VelyraSTEM and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

While you comply with these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access the Service for your own study. You may take personal notes and quote brief portions for private schoolwork with appropriate attribution. This permission does not include publishing answer banks or reproducing entire lessons.

6. Feedback and submissions

If you send us feedback, corrections, or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment to improve the Service. You retain ownership of original material you submit, but you must have the right to submit it and it must not violate another person’s rights.

7. Plans, allowances, and subscriptions

The free plan currently includes up to 30 new practice questions per day. Usage allowances may reset according to the time zone associated with your account and may be adjusted as the Service develops.

VelyraSTEM Plus is a paid subscription billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on the Plus page at the time of purchase. It renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Profile page; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Refunds. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date by visiting paddle.net or contacting our support team.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and useful, but uninterrupted or error-free access is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security issues, third-party outages, or product changes may temporarily affect availability. We may update features and content or discontinue parts of the Service.

We may revise these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. The updated date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last revised. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or address a material violation of these Terms. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. Third-party services and independence

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of those services, and we are not responsible for third-party websites or materials.

AP® is a trademark registered by the College Board. VelyraSTEM is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the College Board. References to course frameworks or textbooks describe curriculum alignment only and do not imply approval by their publishers or authors.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VelyraSTEM and those involved in providing the Service will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, or academic results arising from use of or inability to use the Service. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. General terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and us concerning the Service and replace prior statements about the same subject.
